The list of candidates approved to run will be posted here on Friday 8/19
If you get on the list of candidates approved to run for student council, you may campaign from Monday 8/22 morning through Wednesday 8/24 afternoon. Campaign posters may only be put up with painters tape in the counselors' hallway and the commons area. Posters must be in good taste (nothing vulgar, putting down other candidates, or profane. All campaign materials must be removed by 8:30am Thursday morning. If you choose to distribute campaign material, be mindful of the possibility for these to become litter around the school. Any candidate who breaks any of these guidelines will be disqualified. Voting will take place in homerooms on Thursday morning. GOOD LUCK!

Student Council Position Descriptions:
Executive Council: (only seniors)
PRESIDENT: Leads SCA meetings, acts as the chief officer and representative of the student body. May appoint special committees for the operation of SCA. Signs all bills and makes nominations to fill vacancies.
VICE PRESIDENT: Presides at all meetings in the absence of the President. Assume the office of the President if that office becomes vacant. Acts as chief advisor to the President.
SECRETARY: Records, keep the minutes of SCA meeting, record attendance, and keep official membership list. Drafts all bills, read any statements, or draft any correspondences as directed by the President.
TREASURER: Maintains financial records for the SCA, reports on the financial state to the SCA.
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC RELATIONS: Serve as a liaison between the SCA and the public, acts as chairperson for any social activities SCA sponsors.
HISTORIAN: Record all SGA events and projects, take photographs of SGA events to be compiled at the end of the year as a record of the events.
